Joseph is a consultant with ClarkeKann and provides specialised corporate advisory and finance expertise to our clients.  He has extensive experience in management consulting, deal making, private equity, venture capital, corporate and property finance, capital markets, debt financing and insurance.

Joseph spent his formative years at Accenture and worked with the firm in Australia, the United States of America, Europe and Asia over a period of 14 years.  He has also worked with a variety of firms specialising in corporate and structured finance, property finance and insurance.

He has widespread experience across the corporate, real estate, banking,  finance, insurance, technology, media, internet, mining, resources, energy, infrastructure, private equity and venture capital sectors.

Joseph is the managing director of AC&E International ( which is a corporate advisory and finance firm providing a range of strategic, structuring, transactional, deal making, capital raising,  finance and operational advice and solutions to corporate clients.  AC&E works with clients around the world across a range of industries and company growth stages - including startups and early stage businesses, growth and development projects, turnarounds, buyouts (M&A), initial public offerings and trade sales.

Besides Australia and New Zealand, he has extensive North American, European  and Asian experience which he is able to offer for the benefit of our clients.

He works with us in assisting clients on corporate strategy, deal shapes, transactional services and financing across all industry sectors.  He also directs our capital markets practice, which is designed to provide clients with access to innovative and alternate sources of capital to satisfy their growth and expansion needs.

    Advising on equity, mezzanine and debt financing structures for real estate acquisition and construction transactions, and then assisting the acquirer or developer with arranging funding from equity investors, mezzanine providers and lenders (banks and non bank lenders).

    Assisting corporate clients with refinancing their existing bank debt to alternative lenders whilst optimising their capital structure.

    Assisting technology sector clients with corporate strategy and business planning, as well as venture capital raisings to fund their growth and expansion needs.

    Assisting and advising mining, resources, oil and gas entities on capital raising and their optimal capital structure.

    Assisting corporations with trade mark and intellectual property protection.
  • Term sheets, deals shapes, negotiation

    Advising on term sheets, deal shapes, negotiation strategies and transaction approaches for corporate clients in mining and resources, energy, technology and real estate transactions.

    Advising early stage businesses and commercialisation ventures on corporate strategy, business planning and financing through angel capital investors, venture capital and private equity.
  • Leasing disputes

    Assisting commercial entities with disputes with their landlords, and with structuring lease terms and conditions.
  • Commercial disputes

    Assisting technology sector entities with finding resolutions for commercial disputes with their corporate clients, and providing legal advice and representation.
